The Food and Beverage Service programme provides foundational training in the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to work effectively as part of a F&B team. 

This programme equips participants with essential skills in restaurant setup, menu knowledge, food and beverage service techniques, and customer complaint handling, preparing them for roles like Waiter, Host, Barista, or Runner in Qiddiya's F&B establishments.

The Programme comprises of the following modules

    • Introduction to the hospitality industry: Different F&B outlets  
    • Principles of Customer service  
    • Health and Food Safety  
    • Food and Beverage service utensils: Types, roles, specifications  
    • Handling and polishing chinaware, glassware silverware  
    • Restaurant setup Tables and side stations  
    • Preparing restaurant setup for meals, banquet  
    • Menu Knowledge, Taking order  
    • Food Service Techniques: Plate Service, English Service, French Service
    • Service Techniques: Clearing tables, handling full trays etc.
    • Beverage Service Techniques: Water, Juices, Soft Drinks
    • Handling customer complaints
    • Communication skills: Verbal and non-verbal
    • Bar Training (Coffee, Tea, Smoothies, Mocktails): Bar Setup, Store requisition, and inventory

Programme objectives

    • Gain comprehensive knowledge of various food and beverage service techniques
    • Develop the ability to organize and set up restaurants, tables, and side stations efficiently
    • Build strong communication skills and learn to handle customer interactions professionally
    • Target Position: Hospitality service professionals - Waiter / Waitress, Hostess, Barista, Runner

Eligibility Criteria

    • Nationality: Saudi National
    • Education: High school certificate with a minimum of 60%
    • Years of experience: Not applicable
    • English Proficienecy: Minimum of IELTS Level 4
    • Availability: Full-time availability and commitment to attend the entire programme
    • Required documents: CV
