Qiddiya Investment Company Launches Landmark ‘Playmakers Training Programmes’ to Upskill and Empower the Next Generation of Saudi Talent
Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) announced today the launch of its landmark ‘Playmakers Training Programmes,’ aimed at expanding access to job opportunities by upskilling Saudi citizens across Qiddiya’s key sectors. To deliver on this commitment, Qiddiya has partnered with world-class training providers to ensure participants receive top-tier education and practical skills training.
The first set of programmes focuses on the entertainment and hospitality sectors, with plans to expand into sports, culture, and other sectors over time. These programmes underscore Qiddiya’s commitment to supporting Vision 2030 goals by fostering employment and creating new job opportunities for Saudis.
Qiddiya aims to create 325,000 jobs in Qiddiya City and an additional 22,000 jobs across the Kingdom through Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), offering promising opportunities in these dynamic sectors.
Qiddiya has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with top global and local training partners in the entertainment and hospitality industries and is engaging additional partners for the next phase of its training programmes. The company is also collaborating with government and non-profit organizations that share its ambitious goals to upskill and train the Kingdom’s future talent.
The ‘Playmakers Training Programmes’ will cater to diverse educational backgrounds and career aspirations, offering short-term courses, vocational training, and higher education degrees to prepare participants for employment in Qiddiya City and SEVEN offerings such as Six Flags, Aquarabia, Speed Park Track, and more.
To support these programmes, Qiddiya has launched an online platform providing comprehensive information about all training opportunities. Interested candidates can explore the training catalogue and submit applications for their chosen programmes.
