Qiddiya supports Riyadh’s bid to host Asian Games in 2030
Riyadh, KSA [10 November 2020]: Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) welcomed the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) 2030 Asian Games Evaluation Committee at the Qiddiya Welcome Center to showcase the full offerings that the destination will provide upon opening.
The delegation toured the Welcome Center with the Riyadh 2030 Asian Games bid committee, were given a chance to explore the interactive assets which explain Qiddiya’s master plan and key facilities in detail, and were given an overview presentation by CEO, Mike Reininger.
The visit by the Evaluation Committee is part of a wider visit to the Kingdom to show how Riyadh 2030 would deliver a vibrant, modern, world-class Games that would unify Asia in a festival of sport, whilst also being a driving force in the transformation of Saudi society.
If Riyadh is successful in its bid to host the games in 2030, Qiddiya would provide multiple world-class venues for the event along with the Athlete’s Village.
Riyadh 2030 would be Saudi Arabia’s first ever Asian Games and the decision for who will host the 2030 event will be next month.
